This policy explains how Secure Paws Foundation Inc., a Wyoming public benefit nonprofit corporation ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through securepaws.org, by email and by phone.
What we collect
- When you donate: your name, email address, billing country, donation amount and date. Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure page and are never stored on our systems.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and the content of your message.
- When you visit the site: basic technical information that our hosting provider records automatically, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To process donations and send receipts.
- To reply to your messages.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax record-keeping requirements.
- To send news about our work, only if you agree. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers that act on our behalf, such as our payment provider, our contact form provider, our email provider and our website host, and with authorities when the law requires it. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep donation records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually seven years. We keep messages only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable record. We protect information with access controls and encrypted connections.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop receiving news, by emailing contact@securepaws.org. Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK and some US states, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respect them.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our payment provider may use cookies needed for secure checkout and fraud prevention on its own pages.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above.
